Yoli – My Experience With Yoli Blast Caps

A buddy of mine started working with Yoli to help promote a new health beverage.  It seemed like a cool drink, but I was very skeptical, thinking it was going to taste horrible.  I am used to drinking Gatorades and Vitamin Waters.  Any other healthy drinks I’ve had may have been healthy, but sure did not taste good.

I guess the main difference with Yoli is their blast cap technology.  My friend was telling me they freeze dry the nutrition and put this into the blast cap so that the drink does not have to be pasteurized like 99% of drinks out there.

First, I didn’t even know what pasteurization meant.  Second, I didn’t know that drinks are pasteurized.  He told me that when a drink is pasteurized it is “hot filled” or boiled as they fill the bottles with their beverages.  So, this basically destroys 80% of the nutrition that is stated on the bottle’s label.

My jaw dropped when I found this out!  I had been drinking Vitamin Waters thinking I was getting a refill of nutrients into my body, when in fact I was drinking fancy sugar water.  This really opened my eyes to what is really happening in the beverage industry.

At this point, I was ready to give my friend and this Yoli drink a try.  When I received my Yoli it came filled with alkalized water, which I’m learning is also important for health (another topic).  So, I dropped a blast cap in the bottle and pushed down on the blast cap.  This “blasts” the freeze dried nutrients into the alkalized water.  Then, I put the sport top back on the bottle and shook it up.

Alright…..I’m looking at this new “health” drink that is supposed to deliver a huge amount of nutrition into my body, but also taste good (impossible).  So I say to myself, “bottoms up!”  I take a huge gulp and to my surprise it actually tastes good.  I think Yoli is on to something here.  If they can get a guy like me to drink this stuff then anybody will drink it. As I started to investigate into more detail I found out that this Yoli drink is better for me than I thought.  As you can see for yourself what it doesn’t have is just as important as what it does.
